THE JOB?
SK biotek Ireland are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Services (TS) Engineer within Operations. This is a day role supporting a 24/7/365 world-class manufacturing organisation. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the successful candidate will ensure;
· The successful, efficient operation of the Thermal Oxidiser and Waste Treatment Facility and in ensuring that its functions comply with all regulatory (e.g. EPA and HSA) requirements.
· The successful, efficient operation of the Solvent Tank Farm and ensuring that its functions comply with all regulatory (e.g. DGSA) requirements.
· Providing technical support to Maintenance Dept. in the operation of the water systems (DIW, City Water, HQPW, Pond Water), Nitrogen generation systems, HVAC systems, Steam Plants to ensure that they comply with all regulatory (e.g. GMP, EPA and HSA) requirements.
This is a contingent role for 12 months duration.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
· The efficient operation of all the unit operations associated with Technical Services: Thermal Oxidiser, Cryogenic unit and the Solvent Tank Farms.
· Ensuring that all the required policies and procedures are in place for their operation, that these procedures follow best practice, and are compliant with all regulatory (e.g. EHS and GMP) requirements.
· Assisting in Predictive Planning for Technical Services, as well as executing and maintaining the Technical Services schedule.
· Consistently seeking to enhance plant and process performance by using continuous improvement tools, implementing new technologies to improve quality, safety and overall efficiency and executing projects to support these improvements.
· Liaising with all support functions to ensure continuity of operation to support manufacturing operations.
· Liaising with the waste brokers to ensure the timely shipment of all waste materials.
· Dealing with regulatory agencies (e.g. FDA, IMB, EPA and HSA) and auditors.
ABOUT YOU?
· The ideal candidate must have a primary degree in engineering or a science-related subject and ideally 1-2 year’s experience in the Chemical/Pharmaceutical business, in a similar role, with proven experience in managing a range of operations. Other desired requirements include;

· Effective communication and strong inter-personal skills.
· Knowledge and understanding of GMP, quality, regulations and guidelines.
· Knowledge of environmental and safety compliance issues within a bulk manufacturing environment.
· Appreciation of human behaviours, as it applies to communication, motivation, and personnel development.
· Have a good knowledge of using computers and software applications.
· Ability to think in a clear, decisive manner, remain calm under adverse conditions and reach reasoned solutions when required.
· Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
