Residential Care Worker – Children’s Services
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £30,221 - £34,405 (inclusive of 2 sleep-ins per week)
Contract Options: 39 or 45 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate Residential Care Worker to join a well-established children’s residential service in Worksop. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who have experienced trauma, helping them build confidence, life skills, and brighter futures.

The service provides therapeutic care within a nurturing environment, focusing on education, emotional support, and positive development. With a strong emphasis on trauma-informed practice, the team is dedicated to creating a safe, engaging space where young people can thrive.
Ideal Candidate:
- Patient, resilient, and a positive role model
- Passionate about supporting young people with complex needs
- Able to build trusting relationships through consistency and empathy
- Willing to work flexibly, including sleep-ins, weekends, and occasional outings
- Physically fit and comfortable managing challenging situations
- Full UK driving licence (to transport young people to activities)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to young people
- Encourage participation in education, hobbies, and social activities
- Work as part of a team to implement individual care plans
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment
- Complete necessary documentation and reports
Requirements:
- No formal qualifications required – full training provided
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare holders qualify for:
- Guaranteed interview
- £500 bonus (post-probation)
- Previous experience in care, youth work, or education is beneficial
