We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a leading private hospital in North London. This role is based within a specialist CAMHS unit supporting children and young people aged 11 to 18 with complex mental health needs, including eating disorders.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a nurturing, therapeutic environment dedicated to the recovery and well-being of young people.

About the role:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, supporting young people through their treatment and recovery journey. Working closely with other healthcare professionals, you will help ensure the delivery of person-centred care tailored to each individual’s emotional, psychological, and physical needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to young people with eating disorders and other mental health needs
  • Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
  • Administer medication and monitor treatment responses
  • Work collaboratively with families, therapists, doctors, and education staff
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards
  • Support safeguarding procedures and contribute to care reviews

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – valid NMC registration
  • Experience working with children and young people (CAMHS preferred)
  • Understanding of eating disorders, trauma-informed care, and risk management
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to care
