Salary: £35,631.96 - £37,112.40 per annum (£17.57 – £18.30 per hour)
Contract Type: Full-time (39 hours/week)
Location: Shropshire (with travel to activity centers)
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 or higher in Residential Childcare (Health & Social Care qualifications not accepted).
- 1+ years’ senior-level experience in residential childcare.
- Full UK driving license & access to a vehicle.
- Passion for outdoor activities (e.g., kayaking, rock climbing).
Role Overview
- Lead therapeutic care for children aged 8–18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in a residential + adventure-based setting.
- Manage a 12-week intervention program combining outdoor activities (e.g., mountain biking, paddleboarding) with trauma-informed care.
- Supervise staff, ensure safeguarding compliance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care alongside the Registered Manager.
- Facilitate outdoor adventure therapy (including overnight shifts).
- Act as a role model to build resilience and life skills.
- Maintain Ofsted-ready standards and documentation.
