Salary: £35,631.96 - £37,112.40 per annum (£17.57 – £18.30 per hour)
Contract Type: Full-time (39 hours per week)
Location: Staffordshire (with travel across activity centres)
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 or higher in Residential Childcare (Health & Social Care qualifications not accepted).
- 1+ years’ senior-level experience in residential childcare.
- Full UK driving license & access to a vehicle.
About the Role
As a Deputy Manager, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality care for children and young people (ages 8–18) with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The service combines residential care with outdoor activity-based interventions, focusing on:
- Adventure therapy (e.g., mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing).
- Short-term 2:1 placements (12-week programs) to build resilience and life skills.
- Therapeutic support to foster trust, confidence, and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing care standards and staff development.
- Lead and motivate a team in outdoor activity settings (including overnight shifts).
- Act as a role model, helping young people overcome challenges through structured interventions.
- Ensure safeguarding compliance and contribute to Ofsted-ready practices.
