Salary: From £33,117.24 - £41,581.80 (dependent on experience)
(Sleep-ins paid at £52.50 per sleep-in)
Contract: 39 or 45-hour contracts available
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a children’s residential care team in Fledborough, Nottinghamshire. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the management team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to young people who have experienced trauma. You will be an integral part of the leadership team, helping to mentor staff, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure that the young people in care receive the best possible support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of the residential care home, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to young people.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, providing guidance, support, and training to help them develop in their roles.
- Support the management team in planning and implementing individual care plans for young people, ensuring their needs are met.
- Ensure the home remains a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, adhering to all safeguarding guidelines and company policies.
- Lead by example, demonstrating the behaviors and attitudes expected of all staff.
- Take on sleep-in duties and provide support to young people during night shifts as required.
- Coordinate transport for young people to attend activities, appointments, and other required outings.
- Monitor and review progress of young people and make recommendations for ongoing care and support.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience working in a children's residential care setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Knowledge of the emotional and behavioral needs of young people, particularly those who have experienced trauma.
- Ability to manage complex situations and resolve conflicts in a calm and effective manner.
- A full driving license is required, with the ability to use company vehicles for transportation.
