We are currently recruiting for a Band 5/6 Pharmacy Technician (ACT) to work on a fixed term contract in Shetland. Please see details of the role below:
Role Details
• Role: Band 5/6 Pharmacy Technician (ACT)
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Mon to Thurs 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am – 4.30pm (37 hour week)
• Pay: Competitive hourly rate
• Start: ASAP
• Length: 8 weeks
• Please note: Locum must arrive in Shetland the day before the start date
• This role will involve supporting pharmacy services across both dispensary and ward areas in line with the attached job description. Duties will include dispensing, medicines reconciliation, stock management, and accuracy checking where appropriate as an accredited checking technician. You will work closely with the wider pharmacy and clinical teams to ensure safe and effective delivery of medicines on the island.
Requirements
• Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience
• Right to Work in the UK
• GPhC registration
• ACT accreditation essential
• Ability to travel to Shetland and start promptly
