The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) are responsible for setting standards of training, administering examinations and awarding Fellowship and Membership of the College in the specialty of Emergency Medicine.

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine were looking for a staffing partner with the capacity and capability to fill multiple roles at pace for their London site. They wanted a partner with the infrastructure to support multiple-hires, whilst maintaining a first-class candidate journey and representing RCEM’s reputation.

We worked closely with RCEM’s hiring team (hiring managers & HR Director) taking a detailed briefing to gain a deep understanding of their staffing needs. Reflecting RCEM’s brand throughout the recruitment process was a priority for our client. We took steps to ensure messaging was on-brand at every touch point to maintain consistency. We used our strong knowledge of the Healthcare market and our large network of niche, specialist talent to rapidly source suitable candidates. Acting quickly to secure the best candidates allowed us to reduce time and cost to hire—without compromising on candidate quality.

Results and Impact

Our sector and local market knowledge meant we were able to attract and engage passive candidates into difficult to fill roles, within a short time frame. We continue to be a trusted staffing partner for RCEM.
  • 25 vacancies received since we started working with RCEM in 2024 (all permanent).
  • 118 CVs sent within 48 hours of the requisition being released, an average of 4.72 CVs per vacancy.
  • 78 interviews, an average of 3.12 per requisition and a 66% CV to interview conversion rate.
  • 23 roles filled to date, with one filled internally and one still active, equating to a 92% fill rate
