The Role
Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a private orgainisation in West Yorkshire, working within specialist mental health services for women with complex mental health needs.
Details
The role involves supporting women receiving specialist inpatient mental health care, providing occupational therapy assessment and intervention to promote recovery, independence, and engagement in meaningful activities. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred care.
Responsibilities
- Manage a specialist mental health occupational therapy caseload
- Complete functional, occupational, and psychosocial assessments
- Develop and implement recovery-focused treatment plans
- Facilitate individual and group therapeutic interventions
- Support service users in developing daily living skills and achieving recovery goals
- Contribute to risk assessment, care planning, and discharge planning
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, families, and external agencies
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Experience within mental health occupational therapy settings
- Understanding of recovery-focused practice and complex mental health presentations
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
