Executive Director Clinical Development Oncology
Location: New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Massachusetts
Cpl are partnered with a multinational pharmaceutical company with a specialist focus in Oncology who are currently recruiting an Executive Director of Clinical Development Oncology. With a strong and exciting development portfolio sporting several blockbuster drugs this opportunity is aimed at physicians who want to use their expertise in Oncology to lead the ongoing and planned development of products in the pipeline.
You will be expected to supervise and lead a team of physicians & scientists. The successful candidate will be involved the development of oncology products from preclinical research, first in man studies through phase l/ll/lll clinical trials. Line management of a team as well as several promising assets will allow this individual to grow into a more senior role long term.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the development of early and late-stage clinical trials
Line management of a small-medium sized clinical development team
Operational and hands on responsibilities within the portfolio
Providing an in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex problems of various factors
Define the Practices and policies with your judgment and discretion in terms of the selection of methods, techniques, and evaluation of criteria
Develop, lead, and supervise a team
Collaborate with cross functioning teams to design and oversee clinical programs
Oversee the clinical development plans and drug development plans
Requirements
MD / Board certification in Oncology/Hematology is preferred
Experience preferred in Solid Tumors
5+ years of pharmaceutical experience in Oncology
Has been a study Director before with Lead or Director accountability
Has led and managed Physicians and Scientists previously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
