We are currently recruiting for a Band 8a Cancer Services Pharmacist to work on a temporary basis in West Hertfordshire. Please see details of the role below:
Role Details
• Role: Band 8a Cancer Services Pharmacist
• Days: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Pay: £37ph
• Start: ASAP
• Length: Ongoing
• This role will involve providing specialist clinical pharmacy support within cancer services, including chemotherapy screening, medicines optimisation, and supporting safe prescribing across oncology and haematology services.
• Duties include screening chemotherapy prescriptions, inpatient drug charts, and TTAs while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality patient care within cancer services.
Requirements
• GPhC registration
• Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience
• Oncology or haematology pharmacy experience essential
• Experience screening chemotherapy prescriptions required
• Experience with Chemocare or other chemotherapy prescribing systems desirable
• Strong clinical screening and medicines optimisation skills
